Whether you’re a solo minimalist or a big family, saving a few dollars here and there is important to ensure you’re sticking within your budget and keeping your dream of traveling freely alive.

Fortunately, there are ways to help alleviate costs by saving on campground fees and other items.

To that end, we’ve put together a list of some of the best discount camping RV clubs out there.

Each offers unique benefits that aren’t necessarily related to cost savings, but they all offer some sort of campground fee discount or similar feature as well.

The 7 Best Discount Camping RV Clubs of 2025

Below is our list of the best discount camping and RV clubs.

As mentioned above, each offers some form of campground or similar discounts as well as (typically) a collection of other benefits such as an online community or tutorials.

Here they are:

1. FMCA

FMCA

The Family Motor Coach Association, or FMCA, is a membership organization for RVers that offers:

  • Online video tutorials
  • Monthly “Family RVing” magazine

  • And car rentals

However, it’s important to note that you don’t need to purchase FMCAssist, only the base FMCA membership, to get campground fee discounts.

Discounts usually range around 10% for participating campgrounds.

2. Escapees

ESCAPEES RV CLUB

Escapees is one of the most well known RV clubs and support networks on the internet.

Since 1978, Escapees has served the RV community in a variety of ways. Today, it offers a collection of resources and services including:

  • Discounts on other campground memberships from Harvest Hosts, Passport America, Boondockers Welcome, and more
  • Campgrounds discounts (up to 50% off in some cases)
  • Educational resources: Online learning material, community forum, and other resources.
  • And events and rallies held by Escapees throughout the country

In particular, the ability to get a discount on various industry memberships is incredibly valuable and can really add up.

3. Passport America

PASSPORT AMERICA

Passport America is an RV membership started in 1992, and considered to be the very first club to offer the now customary 50% discount on campground fees.

They offer discounts on over 1,100 of their campgrounds across the country as well as Canada and Mexico, making it one of the largest discount campground networks around.

Benefits include:

  • 50% discount on campground stays
  • Over 1,100 campgrounds across the continent
  • Flexible reservations from a single night to multi-day
  • And a handy mobile app that allows you to find participating campgrounds

4. KOA

KOA

KOA is another large campground network, this one with over 500 campgrounds across the U.S. and Canada.

You can find convenient ratings and reviews across their network of campgrounds in the KOA app, which makes it easy to find a camp that you’ll like.

Their Koa Rewards program allows you to get 10% off campground fees for just $36 per year, great savings if you’re a full-time RVer and frequently stay at KOA’s campgrounds.

The discount might not be as big as some other campground memberships, but if you frequent their campgrounds it’s definitely worth the price.

5. Thousand Trails

THOUSAND TRAILS MEMBERSHIP 1

Thousand Trails is an annual membership that gives you access to one or more regions of the platform’s massive collection of campgrounds without having to pay nightly campground fees.

They have 5 regions each separated by geographical direction:

  • Southwest
  • Southeast
  • Northwest
  • Northeast
  • Midwest

For $49 per month (or $580 annually) you get access to your choice of one of the above regions.

They also offer a Trails Collection add-on for $425 annually, which gives you access to 100 additional family-friendly campsites throughout the U.S. either free or at a drastically reduced price.

If you’re a seasonal traveler, you may not find massive savings with the Thousand Trails membership depending on how often you travel.

However, if you’re a full-time RVer regularly staying at campgrounds, Thousand Trails can save you an immense amount in campground fees over a year.
